Prof. Nečas was awarded the Masaryk University Gold Medal

Prof. MVDr. Alois Nečas, Ph.D., MBA, long-time rector and vice-rector of the University of Veterinary Sciences in Brno and dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, received Masaryk University’s highest honor on May 12, 2026 – the Masaryk University Gold Medal – for his significant contribution to the development of higher education and the deepening of MU’s cooperation with domestic institutions.
On behalf of the entire university, we congratulate Prof. Nečas on this extraordinary recognition of his successful work in the field of higher education, through which he has long been building a strong reputation for our alma mater.
